I understand that some people may be apprehensive about having their first massage as they don't know what to expect. I hope to relieve some of that apprehension by explaining here what will happen during your first appointment.
Consultation
Before the treatment begins it will be useful for me to get to know a little bit about you and your reasons for wanting a massage. It is also important that I identify any contra-indications.
Contra-indications
There are some conditions and illnesses that mean either the treatment should not go ahead, or certain areas of the body should be avoided. If I identify any of these, I will be sure to explain this to you.
Treatment
The treatment you receive will depend on the findings of the consultation. I will talk my intentions through with you to make sure you are happy and answer any questions you may have.
